Doha & Moto GP Racing

Doha,

We are going on rotation again, this time to Doha, Qatar.  The primary reason for this trip was to attend the Moto GP race at the LoSail Curcuit.  But while we were here, we took the opportunity to see some magnificent architecture, the buildings are incredible.  The races were great, there were several days of qualifing prior to race day and I enjoyed it.

Being outside of Saudi Arabia means you can get more traditional Western food.  While we were here we ate at Fuddruckers, Chili's and Applebys.  Our hotel was not working out so we switched hotels the second hotel worked out OK.

We spent a lot of time in the Old Suk, a shopping area several hundred years old.  Hundreds of little shops divided by narrow paths.  Sights and smells abound, the spice shops with tables of ground spices piled up for customers to pick and choose from.  Elizabeth got some fabric from one shop.

We spend some time at one of the bigger malls in Doha, City Mall.  It was pretty big and had most of the stores you would find in America.  We got Elizabeth a new pair of sandals from the Hush Puppy store.

Here are some great pictures of the buildings we saw in Doha they are better pictures than we were able to take…
